Tank size and contents
Bigger tanks hold more and take longer to pump and haul. A tank that has gone a long time between pump-outs often has a thick sludge layer that takes more work to remove.
Finding and reaching the tank
If the lids are buried, they have to be dug up first. A long hose run, a gate, soft ground, or a tank far from the driveway adds time. Risers that bring the lids to the surface make later visits easier.
System type
Aerobic units, pump tanks, and systems with filters or alarms have more parts to check. If your operation permit requires a maintenance report, that is part of the visit too.
Getting a real number
Call with your tank size if you know it, when it was last pumped, and how to reach it. We will give you a quote for your property. Your permit records in the health district's Accela portal may list the tank size.
