Aerobic septic service in Hamilton, Ohio

We service aerobic septic systems for homes in Hamilton and across Butler County, including checking aerators and alarms, pumping, and routine maintenance visits. Call or send a short note to set one up.

How aerobic systems differ

An aerobic treatment unit adds air to the wastewater so bacteria can break it down more completely before it reaches the soil. That makes it a good fit for lots where a conventional drain field would struggle. It also means more moving parts: an aerator or blower, sometimes pumps, controls, and an alarm.

Those parts need power and regular attention. A silent aerator, a tripped breaker, or an alarm that keeps sounding are all reasons to call.

Maintenance and service contracts

Under Ohio Administrative Code 3701-29-09, an operation permit must require a service contract for any system covered by an NPDES permit, or when the state's approval of a system or component calls for one. Local boards of health can set other conditions. Ohio's operation and maintenance rule also requires following the manufacturer's maintenance instructions when the permit or product approval makes that a condition.

Check your operation permit for what applies to your system. Then call us to set up routine service and keep your records in order.

What a service visit includes

We check that the aerator or blower is running and moving air, test the alarm, look at the treatment and settling chambers, check any pump and float controls, and pump solids when needed. We note what we did so you have a record for your files and the health district if it asks.

Common questions

Does my aerobic system need a service contract?
It depends on your operation permit. Ohio's rules require one for systems covered by an NPDES permit, or when the state's approval of the system calls for it. Your permit lists any other conditions.
My aerobic alarm is going off. What should I do?
Cut back on water use and call us. Common causes include a failed aerator, a pump or float problem, or a high water level.
